A Dart & Co were engaged by Lend Lease to install a variety of cladding to Brunswick Station at Fortitude Valley. This included the installation of ALPOLIC cladding and stainless steel mesh to the platform soffits. Symonite cladding was also installed using a Smartfix system to the platform wall.
Fabricated panels were required to be loaded onto a train at Bowen Hills and carted to the site after hours to not disrupt the public and to keep the train services operational. One platform was closed at a time to enable to project to run to schedule.
Safety remained crucial as workers were operating close to live wires – a dedicated safety officer was on site during these crucial stages of the project. Successfully, A Dart & Co were awarded the Robina Town Centre cladding package the following year by Lend Lease demonstrating the strong relationship developed and the quality of workmanship and completion of this project.
